Petit Bijou is an intimate bistro in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island serving flavorful, unique dishes with a Mediterranean / North African heart — warm spices, preserved lemon, wood-charred vegetables and portions meant for sharing.

We use local ingredients and products wherever possible, from Salt Spring Island mussels to Little Qualicum Cheeseworks brie and greens from valley farms. Our wine list carries a wide variety of wines alongside Vancouver Island spirits, craft beer and more.

Formerly Brie & Barrel, we’re building a new reputation with bold flavours, hearty dishes and great atmosphere. Every dish we serve is made with passion and the hope that, for a little while, it takes you somewhere else.
